Terminally ill blogger uses her illness to inspire others to never give up.
Meet Lisa Magill, a 34 year old woman fighting an incredible battle against terminal Sarcoma. After battling her illness for 3 years Lisa turned to blogging to document her journey which had an unimaginable outcome.

Lisa started her online blog Terminally Fabulous as a means to document her daily life. Lisa was able to show her followers that with every bad day a good one is just around the corner. She demonstrated to us that you don’t have to stop living even when thats what your instincts tell you to do.
Lisa began her blog for herself as you can see from this snippet from her Author blurb:
Lisa was oblivious in the beginning to the effects her blog would have on the world and that she would eventually be an inspiration to thousands.
According to an article on news.com.au Lisa’s blog skyrocketed to fame making the news headlines for her bucket-list. Of course Lisa was able to achieve this dream and got to live it up in style spending the day with A list celebrities in the Emirates Marquee at the Melbourne Cup.
Not only does Lisa document her battle on her blog, she also maintained her Terminally Fabulous Facebook page . With a following of close to 62,000 (emphasis on her ability to reach/inspire thousands of individuals), Lisa has and continues to inspire people to continue living life to the fullest and never let anything stop you from being fabulous.
Lisa was able to relate with others who were suffering from cancer, she was able to paint the picture for those who don’t know what it is like to have cancer. Its moments like this that break the hearts of many, and re-open wounds for people living the reality of it.

Though as mentioned before, Lisa did not just post about her low points or her tough moments. She also posted when her days looked like this:

Allowing her followers to see all of the amazing things she continued to do with her life like go for lunches, take trips to the beach or even just spend time with her niece reinforces the fact that just because the science says your sick doesn’t mean you have to act it.
It is inspiring in itself that being so sick she was still able to enjoy the things in life we so easily take for granted like going to the beach. This is why people look up to her, because just like Dory, she just keeps swimming.
On the 24th of February 2017, Lisa posted her last ever blog post,’Is this really living?’, and unfortunately in mid March 2017, she peacefully passed away.

Over 10,000 people liked this post, and nearly 1,000 people commented on it, showing that Lisa touched on the lives of many.

We will definitely never forget this incredibly strong, inspiring woman.
Lisa’s mum continues to update the the Terminally Facebook page, and though she is gone Lisa still continues to inspire us all.
